Lynn Joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars while on a mission to get a WWII Veteran assistance with his medical needs. His VFW eligibility comes from his service in United States Marine Corps 3rd Amphibious Assault Battalion in Somalia and Desert Storm where he served with Task Force Ripper and Task Force Papa Bear. Lynn was awarded the Bronze Star with V-Device for his actions on the battlefield.

Lynn Toomer is a candidate for VFW National JR Vice Commander in Chief 2026. His mission is to support and serve our veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. With 6 years military leadership experience ending in 1992, and currently General Contracting business CEO/Owner for 30+ yrs. He has been recognized for his leadership and dedication to the VFW with over 13 years of leadership experience keeping the VFW Great.
